A voluntary, third-party audited quality management standard — not legally required, but often expected for government tenders and larger B2B contracts.
ISO 9001 (quality management) is the most common entry point. Unlike every other term in this glossary, nothing legally obligates a business to get it — it's worth pursuing only once a specific tender, contract, or export requirement actually calls for it.
