Paid-up Capital
In One Line
The actual amount shareholders have invested in exchange for shares — real money in, not just a legal ceiling.
This is the figure that matters for day-to-day purposes: it's part of what determines whether an OPC must convert into a Private Limited Company, and it's what actually shows up as capital on the company's books. It can be increased later by issuing more shares, up to the authorized capital limit.
